Daniel Craig stocks up on beauty products for Bond role

Daniel CraigJames Bond hunk Daniel Craig is so determined to look his best when he reprises his role as the suave British spy in 'Quantum of Solace' -- he had a lorry load of beauty products delivered to his trailer on the set of the new movie.

"Daniel Craig is the first metrosexual Bond. More than any other Bond in history, Daniel is attractive to both men and women," said a movie insider.

"Daniel got rave reviews following his Bond debut, both for his acting abilities and his buff physique."

The 40-year-old actor has also employed several screen tricks to give him a more youthful complexion and toned appearance.

The insider added to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "As well as fake tan, bronzer, eye cream, cleanser, toner and moisturizer, Daniel's been having regular manicures.

"He regularly uses the gym on set but to maximize results, baby oil is a well-known trick to increase muscle definition.

"He uses eye-drops to make the whites of his eyes appear brighter and has been told to splash his face with ice-cold water before filming to close the pores and make him look younger.

"Daniel is happy to do everything in his power to nail the part... even if it means his mates take the mick."

Quantum of Solace, which also stars Dame Judi Dench as M, plus new Bond girls, Olga Kurylenko and Gemma Arterton, began filming in November last year and is due for release at the end of 2008.

Last night a spokesman for Craig refused to comment.
