Amy Winehouse wants to follow in Shirley Bassey's footsteps

Amy Winehouse has told pals she wants to follow in the footsteps of Shirley Bassey with her Bond theme tune.

The 'Rehab' star, 24, said she wants her theme to A Quantum Of Solace to be as timeless as Bassey's Goldfinger.

And a close pal of the troubled diva reckons she'll do it. "While she has been recording in Henley-upon-Thames all she kept saying was how she is desperate to nail this track so it will be a classic like Goldfinger," he said.

"The producers have said they want a contemporary feel with a typical [Mark] Ronson brass sound. It's going to be a classic."
