Tom Cruise: 'Suri is an amazing blessing'

Tom Cruise says his 2-year-old daughter Suri is an "amazing blessing" in his life.

"I've never been so happy in my entire life! I have the most amazing wife and children. I couldn't ask for more," said Tom, speaking at Suri's second birthday party Saturday.

"This is such a wonderful evening, and I am so thrilled and blessed to be with my family to celebrate the life of my beautiful little angel. She is such an amazing blessing."

Tom's wife, Katie Holmes, added: "She's our pride and joy! We are so blessed, and are spending the weekend celebrating her life."

Guests attending the party at the Beverly Hills Hotel included Tom's mother and sister, Katie's parents as well as his adopted children with ex-wife Nicole Kidman, Isabella, 15, and 13-year-old Connor.

Party goers reportedly dined on a feast on appetizers of warm goat cheese salad and Suri's favorite of creamed corn. The main course was salmon and lobster, while the birthday girl opted for macaroni and cheese.

After her birthday cake was served, Suri posed for photos with chocolate icing around her mouth.

A source said: "Katie held Suri for most of the night. Sometimes she would pass her to Isabella. Suri sat on her dad's lap for a while and later she was running around like any normal little girl."
