Tom Cruise's son lands first movie role
Tom Cruise's adopted son, Connor, has landed his first movie role.
Connor, who was adopted by Tom and his then-wife Nicole Kidman in 1995, is set to star in the upcoming Will Smith drama Seven Pounds.
The 13-year-old -- who has grown up around movie sets with his famous parents -- will reportedly play a young version of Smith in a very minor role. Even with Tom and Nicole as parents, Connor had to audition for the part.
"Tom is so proud of Connor," a source tells People magazine. "He's proud of him for really doing this on his own."
The Columbia Pictures film, which is directed by Gabriele Muccino, and still in production, also co-stars Woody Harrelson, Rosario Dawson and Barry Pepper.

Why is he an "adopted son"?
Why is he an "adopted son"? Connor is Tom Cruise's son, period. In fact, he's Tom Cruise's only son to date.
I find it really odd that the media constantly reminds readers that Isabella and Connor are adopted.
You know, I heard a rumor
