Katie Holmes 'angry' over marriage split rumors

Katie Holmes has told pals she is angry over claims her marriage to Tom Cruise is on the rocks.

Recent tabloid headlines claiming that Tom and Katie were planning a "Trial Separation" and that "It's Over!" between the pair have left Holmes devastated.

And although it's not the first time the former 'Dawson's Creek' actress has faced such accusations, she still finds them difficult to deal with. "Katie wishes she didn't care about the gossip and rumors, but it is hard for her not to," a friend of Katie says.

"She is such a sweet person and never has anything bad to say about anyone," the friend tells OK! magazine. "She doesn't understand why some people are wishing problems on her and Tom."

Katie knows she'll have to face more rumors about her marriage to the 'Top Gun' actor, but she keeps it all together by, "going about her life, business as usual," her friend says. "She'll keep a smile on her face when she's out in public with Tom and keep the hurt hidden at home."
