Naomi Campbell to appear in Ugly Betty

British supermodel Naomi Campbell is set to make a guest appearance in Ugly Betty.

The outspoken catwalk queen, 37, will play herself in the third series finale of the hit US TV show.

Actress Becki Newton -- who plays bitchy receptionist Amanda Sommers -- said: "She's going to be in our last episode, which is exciting. I've personally requested that I don't stand next to her because Amanda would not like to be seen with such a tall, pretty person."

Campbell was originally announced as a guest star last year but didn't appear.

She is the latest British star to make an appearance in the hit ABC comedy-drama.

Former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham made a guest appearance playing Wilhelmina Slater's bridesmaid and was very well liked by all the cast.

America Ferrera -- who plays Betty Suarez in the show -- said the budding fashion designer was willing to be humiliated and happily poked fun at her public image.

She said: "She was wonderful. It always brings something to the show when we have someone new come in.

"She definitely came with the right attitude. If you're not willing to be humiliated then you don't belong on our show."
