50 cent is getting grief from his mates after taking up aerobics to slim down for his latest movie role.

50, real name Curtis James Jackson, plays a cop in Hurricane Katrina action flick Streets Of Blood -- and the muscle-bound rapper has been told he needs to slim down before filming starts shortly.

50, who launched his acting career with 2005 film Get Rich or Die Tryin’, will co-star with Val Kilmer and Sharon Stone.

A source said: "To lose some of 50 Cent’s hard-earned muscle his trainer has incorporated aerobic routines into his training schedule.

"But he is getting a lot of grief from his mates."
