Britney Spears starts work on second How I Met Your Mother

Britney Spears is back in the studio recording her second appearance in TV show How I Met Your Mother.

The Toxic star is reprising her guest role on the CBS sitcom — and production on the episode began today.

"We're all so thrilled to have Britney joining us once again," says Craig Thomas, who is the show's executive producer and co-creator. "And just to head it off at the pass this time around: Yes, Mom, Britney's very nice and no, I can't get her autograph for you."

Britney, 26, first appeared on the March 24 episode, playing a a bubbly, sweet, receptionist at a dermatologist’s office who fell for one of the show’s main characters, played by Josh Radnor. She received wide accolades for the spot.

Spears' first appearance was a rating success, with 10.6 million viewers tuning into watch the episode, making it the most-watched episode of the series ever.
