Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon engaged

Mariah Carey is engaged to Nick Cannon.

Citing sources close to the 'One Sweet Day' singer, Access Hollywood confirms the engagement.

Speculation that the two were an item began last week when Mariah was seen sporting a dazzling diamond ring on her left ring finger at the NYC premiere of her upcoming film Tennessee.

When asked at the party what he loved about Mariah, 27-year-old Nick gave a one-word answer. "Everything," he told People magazine.

Mariah was previously married to record executive Tommy Mottola from 1993 – 1998.

Nick was previously engaged to Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks in 2007. However, the couple called off the engagement that same year.

It'll be Nick's first marriage.

Reps for the pair have yet to confirm the engagement.
