Tyra Banks on Miley Cyrus: 'leave her alone'

Tyra Banks thinks everyone should leave Miley Cyrus alone following the controversy surrounding her recent risqué Vanity Fair photo shoot.

The model-turned-talk-show host told the ladies of The View on Wednesday: "She is a 15-year-old, and I just wish everybody would leave her alone!"

Banks, 34, said provocative photos can come with the territory when you're a young star, and her own mother kept a close eye on her. "There were definitely jobs they would ask me to do," she said, referring to a request for Banks to pose nude for the legendary Pirelli calendar -- but her mom said no.

Miley has apologized for the photos; and Annie Leibovitz -- the photographer behind the pictures -- said she was sorry for any misinterpretation.
