Mariah Carey did get a pre-nup
Mariah Carey did marry beau Nick Cannon with a pre-nup in place, despite claims to the contrary.
A friend of the 'Touch My Body' singer previously said that "there was no pre-nup" because "there wasn't time" before last week's shotgun ceremony.
But Mariah has hit back, reportedly telling a friend, "Anyone who thinks we didn't have a prenup is smoking something!"
The pair wed in a small ceremony in the Bahamas at the start of this month. Mariah's cousin, Shawn McDonald, reportedly walked her down the aisle.
And according to insiders, Nick and Mariah are planning a big party for all the singer’s New York pals when they return from their honeymoon.
This is Mariah's second marriage. She was married to record executive Tommy Mottola from 1993 – 1998.
Nick was previously engaged to Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks in 2007. However, the couple called off the engagement that same year.
When asked what he loved about Carey, Cannon said "everything."

Hey everybody!!! I think that they do not make a very good couple. because she is to old for him and he is to young for her. I don't understand what they have in common at all. Mariah's a business woman! I knew she was smart. Songbird be happy, be healthy, but don't be nobody's fool. Time will tell if this will last. Just for the record, he is not the only one who loves you some other people love you too, and you can take that to the bank.
