Amy Winehouse arrested for possession of drugs
Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has been arrested for possession of drugs.
The 'Rehab' singer, 24, reportedly went to a London police station lunchtime Wednesday, where she was arrested and remanded in custody.
Police questioned the Grammy Award winner over a video that emerged in January of her smoking crack from from a glass pipe.
A Scotland Yard spokesman confirmed: "Around 1pm today a 24-year-old woman from the Camden area attended a London police station by arrangement and was arrested in connection with the alleged possession of a controlled drug.
"She remains in custody. This is in connection with an investigation connected to footage passed to the Metropolitan Police on 22 January."
It is the second time in two weeks that Amy has been arrested.
She was recently charged by cops after allegedly headbutting a Good Samaritan who attempted to hail her a taxi on a drunken night out.
The singer had admitted to slapping a man with an open hand in Camden, north London, close to where she lives.
Winehouse's spokesman said in a statement: "Amy Winehouse voluntarily attended a London police station today by appointment.
"She was arrested in order to be interviewed and is co-operating fully with inquiries.
"The interview relates to a video handed to police earlier this year."
Photographers and television cameras have gathered outside the police station in east London where Amy is believed to be held.
