George Clooney gets friendly with David and Victoria Beckham

George Clooney was seen getting friendly with David and Victoria Beckham during a flight on Giorgio Armani's private jet this past week.

The stars, who were flying to New York ahead of the Metropolitan Museum's Costume Institute Gala, sipped Cristal champagne on ice; exchanged gossip; and enjoyed the free mini-bar. "George was only recently introduced to the Beckhams but they hit it off straight away," a source said.

"He totally digs Victoria's dry, very British sense of humor and gets her jokes, which a lot of Americans don't.

"They went out for dinner the evening before their flight but the trio really bonded on the plane, swapping gossip and doing hilarious impressions."

After landing at a private airfield, the trio were driven to the Met for the glitziest night of the showbiz calendar.

Following the four-course dinner at the bash, the famous group went clubbing at Bungalow 8.

Victoria, 34, and David, 33, have made a fistful of A-list friends since their move to the States last year, including: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Kate Beckinsale and Gwen Stefani.
