Britney Spears to return home when Jamie Lynn gives birth

Britney Spears is set to return home to Louisiana, La. when her 17-year-old sister Jamie Lynn gives birth.

According to reports, Jamie's official due date is June 29.

A source tells E! Online: "At the baby shower, she told her little sister she wanted to be there for her the entire time.

"I'm not sure how Casey is going to feel about that. But Jamie Lynn seems pretty excited."

However, Britney, 26, has to ask her father -- and co-conservator -- if she's allowed to go.

"She had to ask him if it was OK to go back for the shower," said the friend, adding that the baby shower was the first time the Toxic singer had been home in 16 months. "He has to give her permission to travel, and the money to do it. It's not that he doesn't want her there for her little sister. It's just that he thinks it's best to keep Britney close to home right now."

But insiders are fairly certain Jamie will give the nod for his daughter to return home, because, "it would be pretty cold hearted to say no," said the source.
