Mariah Carey's new husband listened to her music growing up

Mariah Carey's new husband used to listen to the singer's music when he was growing up, Nick Cannon's half-brother has revealed.

"He was a fan," Reuben Cannon said, adding that the pair share a "real and honest love" for each other.

"That is what is going to keep them together," he said. "He loves her more than any other girl."

Reuben said that Nick "definitely wants kids" with the 'Touch My Body' singer, but "I am not sure exactly if now is the time," he said. "Both of their careers are crazy right now."

The pair married in a small ceremony at Carey's Bahamian estate last month. Mariah's cousin, Shawn McDonald, reportedly walked her down the aisle.

It's Mariah's second marriage. She was married to record executive Tommy Mottola from 1993 – 1998.

Nick was previously engaged to Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks in 2007. However, the couple called off the engagement that same year.

Carey, 38, recently dismissed reports she never had a pre-nup in place before the wedding, reportedly telling a pal: "Anyone who thinks we didn't have a pre-nup is smoking something!"
