Pete Doherty sought help after trying to kill cat with shovel
Pete Doherty has revealed the moment he realized he needed help battling his drugs demons -- when he tried to kill one of his pet cats with a shovel.
The 'Babyshambles' frontman -- who was last week released from prison after serving 29 days of his 14 week sentence -- said: "I got a shovel and was going to kill one of the cats.
"That was when I was, like, you know, ‘I’m a bit of a mess’. It was a bit of a crazy time."
Pete, who turned 29 in March, said he is now planning a belated birthday for himself.
He added: "I can't remember the last one at all. And now I'm clean I want one that I can remember.
"I would like it to be fancy dress and everything. A real party."
And the rocker, who earned a drug-free certificate while in prison, has also confirmed he is set to work on a new album.
"That will keep me busy and, hopefully, out of trouble", he said.
