Mariah Carey planning a family with Nick Cannon?
Mariah Carey and new husband Nick Cannon have fueled rumors they're set to start a family -- after reports surfaced the couple are planning a nursery.
According to the New York Daily News newspaper, Carey's assistant called Los Angeles' exclusive Petit Tresor baby boutique to talk about preparing for a new addition.
A source said that the assistant asked the store if they could send fabric samples and if its designers could work with the theme of butterflies. They're now sending the diva pictures of the nursery they just finished for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's twins.
However, despite the preparations, the 'Touch My Body' singer's manager, Benny Medina, insists the 38-year-old is not pregnant.
Three weeks ago, Carey -- who married Cannon in a secret ceremony on April 30 -- said that she was in no hurry to start a family "because of childhood traumatic stuff." But since becoming Mrs Nick Cannon, she said having children is "part of the whole purpose of getting married."
Another source close to Mariah claimed the star said she was working on a concept to make Cannon's L.A. home more comfy for a lady with a whole lot of shoes and dresses. But she's also reportedly thinking about cribs and changing tables. Her assistant asked if Petit Tresor could shut the store for a private conference next time she's in L.A.
