Jessica Simpson's dad wants Tony Romo at Ashlee and Pete's wedding

Jessica Simpson's dad is urging her rumored-ex, Tony Romo, to "support the family" at Ashlee's wedding to Pete Wentz this weekend.

"Joe has called Tony and asked him to come to show support for the wedding," a source says.

It isn't known if the Dallas Cowboys quarterback has agreed to show at the wedding, but he's scheduled to fly into L.A. over the weekend.

Romo didn't attend a bachelor party Joe threw for Fall Out Boy rocker Pete and a few of his pals on Thursday night, but according to reports, a steady supply of beer and wine was brought to their table. After the celebration, Joe picked the $1,000 bill.

It has been claimed that one of the reasons behind Tony and Jessica's split was due to Joe's "overbearing" nature, and because he's "not only telling Jessica every move to make, but now has begun to offer unsolicited advice to Tony on his career, endorsement opportunities and things that have nothing to do with him dating Jessica."

Meanwhile, Jessica and mom Tina threw a bachelorette party for Ashlee that E! reports was a "mellow affair." About a dozen of Ashlee's closest family members and friends attended the backyard event, decorated with balloons.

"Proper invites have not been sent out but instead guests have been given a save the date notice," a source told Us Weekly magazine.

The rehearsal dinner – described by the source as "an intimate affair" for "family and close friends only" – will take place on Friday.
