Mariah Carey: 'Married life is fantastic!'

Mariah Carey is still loving married life.

"[It's] fantastic," she said. "It's a stone smash!"

Mariah -- who married beau Nick Cannon in a secret ceremony in the Bahamas last month -- even turned up to support her new husband -- who was playing DJ at an Operation Smile fund-raising event -- in New York City Thursday night.

And how's Cannon enjoying being married to the Touch My Body superstar?

"It's a beautiful thing," he said "It's a beautiful situation ... carrying on and on each day."

And what's Mariah like to live with? "I've been doing my research for quite a while," said Cannon. "We've been friends for a while."

This is Mariah's second marriage. She was married to record executive Tommy Mottola from 1993 – 1998. Nick was previously engaged to Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks in 2007. However, the couple called off the engagement that same year.

Carey, 38, recently dismissed reports she never had a pre-nup in place before the wedding, reportedly telling a pal: "Anyone who thinks we didn't have a pre-nup is smoking something!"
