Agyness Deyn dropped by Burberry for being 'over-exposed'

Agyness DeynAgyness Deyn was dropped as the face of Burberry because she is 'over-exposed', a source close to the company has said.

The insider said that famed photographer Mario Testino -- who is described as the fashion house's advertising visionary; and known for his photos of Princess Diana -- is fed up with the hype surrounding the 25-year-old model.

"Agyness was just a flash in the pan. Last year she was quirky but now she is challenging Kate Moss in the fame stakes by positioning herself everywhere," says the source.

"That kind of popularity just hasn't sat well with Mario, who is looking for something different."

Deyn, who recently made a pop music video, has been a a regular on the celebrity circuit, making several high-profile showbiz appearances, including presenting a prize at the NME music awards and collecting the model of the year gong at the Elle style awards.

Agyness is now set to be replaced by 21-year-old Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who has reportedly already been booked to front Burberry's autumn campaign.
