Pet Shop Boys want Amy Winehouse for Bond theme tune
Brit duo Pet Shop Boys have offered to help troubled Amy Winehouse record the theme tune for upcoming Bond film Quantum Of Solace.
The 'West End Girls' hitmakers are desperate to be involved with the title track for the suave British spy's latest outing, due out in October; and want the 'Rehab' singer to lay down vocals for the song.
Super-producer Mark Ronson last month confirmed he had started work on a song for the movie, and had asked Amy to record a song in his studio in Oxford, England.
But Ronson gave up working with the singer, because he felt she was simply not "ready" to work on music while she is battling her drugs demons.
Now, Pet Shop Boys frontman Neil Tennant says the band want to join forces with the Grammy Award winning star.
He says, "Technically she’s a great singer and we’ve got one or two tracks that would really suit her."
