Tracey Edmonds denies dating P Diddy

Eddie Murphy's ex-wife Tracey Edmonds has denied reports she's dating rapper P Diddy.

Tracey, 41, wed The Nutty Professor star Murphy on the Pacific island of Bora Bora on New Year's Day after a year-long romance, but split just a fortnight later - before they could make the nuptials legal in their native U.S.

And blasting tabloid reports of a romance between Edmonds and the Bad Boy For Life rapper, her rep says, "Tracey Edmonds never uttered the words quoted in the [tabloid].

"The story is a complete fabrication.”

It was reported that Edmonds called Diddy "the man for me" and said that he was funnier then Murphy. The report, which was widely picked up on the Internet, went on to claim that Edmonds said Diddy "whisked me off my feet."

A rep for Diddy denies that the pair are romantically linked.
