Amy Winehouse Told to Get Rid of Her 14 Cats

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has been told to get rid of her 14 cats — because they are a danger to her health.
The ‘Rehab’ hitmaker, who is battling the deadly lung condition emphysema, only got her brood last month and is besotted with them.
But doctors say they are making her breathing problems worse and have ordered her to find new homes for them all.
A source tells Britain’s Sunday People newspaper, “Amy loves them and is distraught at having to say goodbye.
“They keep her company and she will be lonely when they’ve gone.
“It wasn’t long after Amy got the cats that she started having breathing problems. She didn’t put two and two together but the doctors did. It turns out she has a severe cat allergy and they are making her ill.”
The star has found homes for eight of her feline friends — but the remaining six are her favorites and that means getting rid of them will be even harder.
The source added, “She did say she wouldn’t give the last six away, but now realises it’s for her own good.
“With Amy’s breathing problems, it’s just not advisable to have cats in her house.
“She might be sad but hopefully she’ll see the benefit.”
