Peaches Geldof has reunited with her ex-boyfriend — just days after getting married to another man in Las Vegas.
As soon as she arrived back in the UK, Peaches — the wayward daughter of rocker Bob Geldof — is said to have called former lover Faris Badwan and invited him to her London home.
Faris, 21, spent the night at Peaches’, despite the fact she had wed American musician Max Drummey only days before. Peaches met Drummey, 23, in July when his band played at the UK iTunes festival, which she was presenting. However, Faris and the new bride, 19, slept in separate rooms.
A source close to Peaches tells British newspaper The Sun, “No one could believe Peaches had invited Faris round as soon as she got back, never mind let him stay the night.
“They were a couple before she went to Las Vegas, then she decides to get married on a whim, comes back and rings up Faris as if what she has done is the most normal thing in the world.
“She lives in a bubble and is loving all the attention. But she’s a married woman now and needs to grow up.”
Faris reportedly thought that he and Peaches were still an item and didn’t know of Peaches’ wedding until it was made public on Tuesday. He went to see Peaches for a furious showdown rather than make a bid to reconcile.
A source said, “He didn’t know what was going on and was pretty upset he had to read about it in the papers.
“Faris knew Peaches was going to the States for work but that was it.
“He feels he’s been made a bit of a laughing stock during all of this and is only now getting to the bottom of what exactly happened.”
Peaches is set for a showdown with Bob when he returns from his holiday next week.
The 56-year-old Boomtown Rats star was yesterday spotted walking head-bowed along a Majorca road.
An onlooker said, “He looked absolutely crestfallen and it was obvious he wasn’t happy.”
