Like A Prayer Is Top Madonna Song

MADONNA’s number one hit LIKE A PRAYER has topped a new poll of her ultimate tracks.

The superstar turns 50 on Saturday (16Aug08) and a group of experts at British music store chain HMV have compiled the survey to celebrate the landmark date.

Like A Prayer, which was released in 1989, took first place in the list of 50 songs.

Madonna’s 2005 dance tune Hung Up came second, while 1985′s Into The Groove took third place. Ray of Light came in fourth and Music, from 2000, lands at fifth on the countdown.

Open Your Heart, Vogue, Holiday, Frozen and Like a Virgin round out the top 10.
