Guy Ritchie Would Rather Ride a Bike Than Drive a Rolls Royce

Madonna’s husband Guy Ritchie would rather travel around on a push-bike than drive a Rolls Royce.

“I live on a bicycle or in the pub – 90 per cent of my time is spent that way. But, yes, the other 10 per cent is spent in a degree of privilege. I’m not a big spender, though,” the movie-maker, 39, tells Elle magazine. “I walked into a Rolls-Royce dealership the other day and didn’t buy one. Why? They’re £280,000 ($560k) a time.”

Ritchie — whose new movie RocknRolla premiered in London this week — says he struggles to match his superstar wife in the fashion stakes.

He added, “I’ve been accused of not being vain enough. It’s laziness. Wives appreciate it when you make an effort. But there’s a point at which you look like you’re trying too hard. Overt vanity is unappealing.”

But he doesn’t mind his 50-year-old spouse trying to hold on to her youth. “I loved her in the leotard,” he enthused.

And when he does spend big, he says Madonna barely bats an eye-lid. “She was taking the trash out and I said, ‘Darlin’, I’ve bought a pub.’ She said, ‘OK.’”

He added, “I like being a parent, and cooking, but I do have a thousand slaves, too…”
