David Beckham wants to buy — or invest in — his own football club when his playing career has finished.

David — who is currently signed to American club LA Galaxy — says he is looking to put his money into an MLS franchise.

He explains, “I always like to challenge myself and I always like to have different things to look forward to in life.

“There are things I would like to be part of and if that means being an owner of a franchise or a club then I would like to.

“There are teams in this [MLS] league that could give some Premier League teams a good game.

“I’m not saying they are up there with the top teams but they could definitely compete with some of the teams and give them a hard time.”
