KT Tunstall Weds Drummer

Scottish singer KT Tunstall has married her band’s drummer, Luke Bullen, according to reports.

Tunstall, 33 — best known for her 2006 hit Suddenly I See — and Bullen, 34, wed in an outdoor ceremony overlooking the Atlantic Ocean on Scotland’s Isle of Skye on Saturday.

“They wanted to keep it as a private event for family and friends,” says a Tunstall pal. “It was just as they wanted it.”

The singer reportedly wore a full-length strapless gown decorated with crystals and jewelry. Bullen donned a dark blue suit as 150 friends and family descended on four-star Flodigarry Country House Hotel set amid the island’s stunning natural scenery.

Guests in bowler hats, puffball skirts, retro suits and sneakers, many with guitars and string instruments slung over their shoulders, mixed with elderly relatives in more traditional wedding attire.

Bullen proposed to Tunstall in 2007 on a surprise visit to her family home on Christmas Day.

“So, 1100 GMT on Christmas morning, the doorbell goes and it’s Luke suited and booted,” Tunstall blogged at the time. “With all his bags. And a little box. Wrapped with a ribbon. He proposed.”

She continued: “Being an opportunist, I obviously said yes. It feels smashing. Keep an eye out for a little sparkle as I’m playing those chords.”

The singer’s adoptive parents Rosemary and David Tunstall, a physics lecturer at St Andrews University, and their two sons, Joe and Daniel, were at the ceremony along with Mr Bullen’s family from Norwich.

Newlyweds and guests enjoyed a meal of local beef and seafood before the couple were toasted with vintage champagne.

For their honeymoon, the couple plan a backpacking trip around the world, heading off to South America, India and New Zealand.
