Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher was shoved to the ground when a fan ran on to the stage during a set at the V Festival in Toronto, Canada.
The singer, 41, was playing his guitar during a performance of Morning Glory when the man pushed him over.
The intruder was hauled to the ground by security guards, and Gallagher’s brother Liam, who was singing, had to be restrained from retaliating.
The rest of the band walked off but the show resumed after a few minutes.
An onlooker said, “Noel looked really shocked at what had happened. Luckily security were on standby.
“Most of the audience looked on aghast.”
The incident was captured on video by a fan in the audience and posted on YouTube.
The festival gig came as Oasis prepare to complete their North American tour, which ends in New York on Friday.
Noel Gallagher has yet to comment on the incident on the blog which he has been updating throughout the tour.
