Actors ERIC DANE and REBECCA GAYHEART have turned to adoption to expand their family – they’ve taken in a pet dog.
The couple, married for almost four years, has become new owners of a Chihuahua after rescuing the pooch from a dog shelter.
Grey’s Anatomy star Dane tells People.com, “We just adopted a little dog.”
Their new addition has been named Nellie, “like ‘Whoa, Nellie,’” Dane explains, adding: “We adopted it on the street from this adoption agency. She was thrown out of a car, so we took her.”
Dane recently shot down rumours he and Gayheart were heading for divorce, insisting: “Our marriage is great. I don’t know how I got lucky. (We are) working on kids.”
