GEORGE Clooney insists he has no regrets about being Batman — despite being shown up by new caped crusader Christian Bale.
Summer’s record-breaking blockbuster The Dark Knight, starring Bale, and Heath Ledger as The Joker, has got Clooney thinking back to his own experience in the cape and cowl in 1997 flop Batman & Robin.
He says, “I don’t regret anything. With hindsight it’s easy to look back at Batman and go, ‘Woah! that was really sh**, and I was really bad in it.’
“The truth is, Batman is still the biggest break I ever had. It changed my career. I wouldn’t be doing this now if it hadn’t been for Batman.”
