Miley Cyrus got to hang with Mickey and Minnie Mouse at the weekend – the teen star celebrated her 16th birthday at Disneyland.
The California resort was shut down for the Hannah Montana star’s Sweet 16 celebrations, which featured music from dad Billy Ray Cyrus, a fireworks display over Sleeping Beauty castle and 16 giant inflatable candles.
Even though her actual birth date isn’t until Nov. 23, Miley got the party started Sunday with more than 5,000 guests — many of whom paid $250 to attend.
The teen pop sensation also sung four of her own songs to guests including Demi Lovato, American Idol’s David Archuleta, Jennie Garth, Steve Carell, Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
And the park’s main attractions — Big Thunder Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean — remained open for partygoers.
Parents Billy Ray and Leticia were behind the massive event.
“Miley is really hard to surprise,” explained her dad.
Miley wore a white ruffled skirt and waistcoat with ‘Sweet 16′ written on the back as she sung hits Breakout and G.N.O while on a boat on the park’s Rivers of America.
And she revealed she isn’t asking for much for her birthday this year.
“My parents shut down Disneyland for me, so I’m good for a while,” she said.
At Disneyland’s sister park, California Adventure, a party of a different sort was taking place – the 11th annual Gay Days Anaheim, an unofficial gathering of gays and lesbians.
“We’re happy to share our big weekend with Miley,” said event organizer Jeffrey Epstein.
“While it may be a small world after all, we think it’s big enough for both groups to have a blast.”
