Britney Spears will begin touring next spring, it was revealed today.

According to Billboard, Spears — who hasn’t played a full string of live dates since her Onyx Hotel world tour in 2004 — will perform in arenas on an “international scope”.

Spears revealed last month that she was planning to hit the road in 2009.

She said, “I am rehearsing for a tour around the world which will happen definitely next year. I cut Circus like two weeks ago. I’ve been working on this album for like six months now!”

Britney is due to release Circus, her sixth studio album, in December.
