Josh Hartnett Told to Give up Vegetarianism

Posted by

Josh Hartnett has been told to give up vegetarianism.

The actor, 30, was ordered by his doctor to return to his meat eating ways after falling ill while filming ‘The Black Dahlia’ (2006) in Bulgaria.

He explains, “I was shooting a movie in Bulgaria called ‘The Black Dahlia’ and I was boxing for it. I was kind of anemic because I wasn’t eating very much and I was working out all the time. So I went to the doctors to see what he could do.

“He said to me, ‘Do you eat meat?’ When I said no, he told me, ‘You need to eat meat.’ So that was kind of it!”

Although Hartnett has been a vegetarian since the age of 12, the star insists returning to meat wasn’t all that difficult.

He added, “It wasn’t hard at all – it’s actually pretty good stuff.”

Being told you need meat is nonsense. Especially as vegetarians have been found to be generally healthier and live longer. For example, Du Pinhua lived to be 120 and put her longevity largely down to being vegetarian all her life. Vegetarians are possibly less likely to be anaemic than anyone else. There’s no way I could eat meat again, even for a billion pounds. I respect the lives of animals just as much as peoples. Animals are often nicer than people aswell

“So that was kind of it?” Right, and I’m sure it had nothing to do with the fact that he hadn’t been eating enough and was overworking himself! (Someone who doesn’t even work out expecting to be able to box for hours each day without a problem.) Talk about commitment, eh?

Wow…I am so sick of doctors. As educated as they are, you’d think that they have ties to the meat industry! When I was younger, I was told the same thing by my parents when I wasn’t feeling well. I went back to eating meat and realized years later that that wasn’t the reason at all! There’s too much evidence that eating meat is NOT good for us, but yet we eat more and more every year and more and more animals are tortured and killed so we humans can enjoy their flesh..so sad (btw, I am a full vegan these days..no animal products AT ALL)

I work out all the time, im and i get everything i need from my diet of nutritious and enzymatic fresh whole ripe foods. He could have just done a load of spinach and superfoods for muscle growth, the goji berry for example being one of those foods that increase human growth hormone (HGH) in us naturally. If he wants to make working out harder for himself he should dose up on more protien, get some of that cheap biproduct of the dairy industry whey crap into him. Little do they realise that protien abosorption only increases when you exercise heavily. Quality of protien is another issue. Most people who are relying on a compromised food like cooked meat are also at risk of protien deficiency beacuse of the deformed and unusable protiens. Goji berries once again have all 8 essential amino acids which make up the protiens, and also have another 10 for a total of 18, of which the other amino acids are complementary and beneficial. From this my work outs are easy, almost effortless, putting on tons of muscle, hardly any muscle fatigue, my recovory period has shortened considerably with NO pain. And since im eating mineral rich foods unlike most mineral depleted produce from common agricultural(using a 3 mineral compound to make the weakling foods look pretty, its no wonder that people dont think you could live on the best food ever). So im always topped up on all the ‘trace minerals’ of the colours of the rainbow. Gee. Great advice doc!

Doctors do a really basic minimum course on nutrition. Common nutritional knowledge is the biggest quack ever. Thankfully my doctor cared more than Josh’s and spared me the risk of the modern dis-eases of today.
