Anne Hathaway says she’s flattered by the Oscar buzz surrounding her latest movie role.
The actress, 25, plays Kym in new film Rachel Getting Married.
And while Hathaway believes it’s a little early to brand her performance Oscar-worthy, she is grateful all the same.
She says, “I have gotten some Oscar buzz, which is very cool.
“But I think it’s a little premature to get excited about – but it’s very flattering.”
Hathaway is next due to star in the 2010 Tim Burton film Alice in Wonderland alongside Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp.
Of her future co-star, Anne said of Depp, “I met him at the MTV movie awards when I gave him an award and he kissed me on my cheek – that was very thrilling.
“I’m working on getting him to kiss the other cheek, that’s why I did the movie, Tim Burton is great, but I just want Johnny Depp to kiss me.”
