Russell Brand was at the center of a death threat scare after he hosted the MTV Awards in September.
The British comedian infuriated American viewers after taking aim at some of the country’s biggest stars, branding George Bush a “retard” and criticizing the Jonas Brothers over their decision to remain virgins.
And Brand admits he was left a little shaken after people threatened to take his life.
He explains, “That was a lot of fun, especially the death threat.
“If you are going to kill someone, don’t give them advance notice, that gives you a chance to prepare.
“How can you, while watching the telly, think ‘Oh, I don’t enjoy this. No, I’m not enjoying this at all. Right, I’m going to kill him’. That’s a huge jump.”
