Brad Pitt is said to be furious with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston following her outburst against new love Angelina Jolie.

Pitt feels Aniston – who he was married to for five years – opened up old wounds in her revealing interview with American Vogue, the first time she has talked about their marriage break-up.

In the piece, Jennifer, 39, describes Angelina, 33, as “uncool” for prising away her husband but admitted she still has feelings for Brad.

However, a source close to Brad told US columnist Bill Zwecker that he was “totally thrown” by her comments, believing that she had “moved on”.

Zwecker said: “One would have to assume Pitt’s irritation was due to Aniston’s comment that it was ‘uncool’ Jolie came clean about falling in love with her married co-star in Mr & Mrs Smith.

“But still, it was Pitt who cheated on Aniston leading to a horribly public split that was clearly humiliating for the popular actress”.

Jennifer then went on to discuss the actual divorce, describing it as “amicable”

She said: “It wasn’t mean and hateful and all of this stuff that they tried to create about Brad can’t talk to Jen and Jen can’t talk to Brad because this person won’t allow it. It just didn’t happen. The marriage didn’t work out.

“And pretty soon after we separated, we got on and we had a long, long conversation with each other and said a lot of things, and ever since we’ve been unbelievably warm and respectful of each other.”
