Miley Cyrus is set for more Hannah Montana – The Disney Channel has ordered additional episodes for the third season, which has currently aired four episodes.
“The talent behind Hannah Montana has made it a true global sensation and cultural icon not just on television, where it topped the ratings on Disney Channels around the globe, but as a chart-topping music act and beyond,” Gary Marsh, president of Disney Channels Worldwide, said Tuesday.
Hannah Montana, which also stars Cyrus’ dad Billy Ray Cyrus, is the No. 1 basic cable series among kids 6 to 11.
“It has become part of the global cultural lexicon for kids, parents and families everywhere,” Marsh said.
Cyrus, 16, has said that she is unsure whether she will return for a fourth season of the show
She said in October, “Hopefully I’m going to go into season four, but we’re not sure so right now we’re just getting through season three.”
