Guy Ritchie Angers London Residents While Filming Sherlock Holmes

Posted by

Guy Ritchie has angered London residents while filming his new movie Sherlock Holmes – after demanding they move their cars from their parking spaces.

The movie director – ex-husband of singer Madonna – is currently shooting with stars Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr. in St. John’s Street in Finsbury.

And the locals are demanding that he pay them for the inconvenience.

One said, “When they filmed V for Vendetta in Rawstorne Street they gave everyone £50 ($100) a day compensation.

“I’ve got no objection to the filming or to Guy Ritchie being in my street. I think he’s all right, but not Madonna.

“I told the film office that for every day they film, they should give us £50.

“They said they would give some money to charity instead but I said ‘No, charity starts at home, especially during the recession’!”

Another added, “I’ve got no objection to the filming or to Guy Ritchie being in my street. I think he’s all right, but not Madonna.

“All I’d say to him is don’t come in with all guns blazing telling us what you’re going to do, talk to us first.

“I got a petition up and got on to Islington Council about it and they said they were knocking four days of filming on the head so we’re happy with that.”
