Robert Pattinson was overwhelmed at the London premiere of his new movie – after learning hundreds of fans had camped out all day just to see him.
The British actor – who is tipped to be the next Orlando Bloom – is starring in the new vampire flick Twilight.
And he was shocked by the amount screaming girls there to greet him – some of which were dressed as vampires, complete with pointy teeth.
Pattinson said, “It was really loud and rather intimidating.
“It’s always an international crowd. They all love the story so much. They’re very loud and very enthusiastic.
“People have been telling me they’ve been here since yesterday, camping overnight. I don’t understand it at all. There’s nothing I’ve been that fanatical about.”
Finally the Uk are waking up to how wonderful this actor is. He’s incredibly good in Little Ashes as Salvador Dali.

Pattinson’s a fairly good actor. He has a gift for playing, a gift he can improve and refine – and he’ll do in time, surely. But let me just say two things… 1) Pattinson’s not the next Orlando Bloom. No actor should be “the next ‘just anybody’”. It’s meaningless to wish him success by resembling another one. 2) Acting is a gratifying job, fans pay the ticket for your movies, congratulate you on your work… And yet Pattinson’s fans camp for him, scream, cry, overwhelm him without a break. Well, this is not a good way to appreciate his job. It’s the perfect way to suffocate him and make him think he’s just a sex symbol, the next-door boy, ‘so adorable’ and ‘so sweet’. He’s not ‘adorable’, he’s not ‘sweet’, he’s not Edward Cullen. He’s Robert Pattinson, an actor, and a pretty good one. Screaming girls are not really his fans, they’re just in love with somebody who exists only in their young dreaming minds. I hope that Pattinson could live in peace and be appreciated for his real talent, safe from a collective delirium that I don’t understand, and he doesn’t understand.

He has already surpassed orlando bloom. In my mind he is the best looking actor around.
