Will Smith in Talks For Hancock, I Am Legend Sequels

Will Smith is jumping on the sequel bandwagon – and is talks for follow-ups to both Hancock and I Am Legend.
In Hancock (2007), the Hollywood heavyweight – who is married to Jada Pinkett Smith – stars as John Hancock, a drunkard with superhuman powers; and Lieutenant Colonel Robert Neville in I Am Legend (2008).
According to the New York Post, Smith is ready to reprise both roles.
A source tells the paper, “He is ready to do both. Producers are just trying to get Charlize Theron to sign on for the Hancock sequel.”
I Am Legend, however, will be more of a prequel as Smith’s character died at the end of the first film.
The source adds, “It will be about how the disease spreads and the fall of the last great American city. It will also develop the relationship between Will’s character and his wife.”
A rep for Smith said, “There have been talks about both of these projects.”
