Sex and the City Stylist Hints at Movie Sequel

Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field reckons a Sex and the City: The Movie sequel is “gonna happen”.

Rumors have been rife for months that Carrie Bradshaw, Samantha Jones, Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes would be back on the big screen following the success of the 2008 SATC movie – which has so far made $413,129,126 worldwide.

And, although nothing official has been announced, Field set the rumor mill even further in motion by telling MTV that another film is in the works.

She said, “I do believe it will happen, because [creator] Michael Patrick King himself told me it’s gonna happen.

“But I haven’t really received any official information yet.

“King has to write a new script. It’s a long process. I don’t think it will happen in 2009.

“But you never know. Maybe the end [of the year]. That’s unofficial. I have really no idea. I don’t think there’s a set date anyway. It’s in the really early process.”

She added, “When we went back to do the movie, it was exciting. After doing the show for six years and then having a break for about four years, when everybody came back together, it was a family reunion.

“Everyone was in a great mood. which is great, because when people are in a great mood and feeling good, they’re going to produce something good.”
