Nicole Richie has shot down claims she’s in talks for a role in teen drama Gossip Girl.
It was reported Wednesday that the Simple Life star – who made her acting debut in the 2005 film Kids in America – was keen to head back to the small screen by landing herself a “really bitchy, juicy role” in the hit Chace Crawford-starring CW show.
The rumor mill was set in motion after the New York Daily News said that Lionel Richie’s daughter “loves Gossip Girl” and was gunning for her own part.
But a rep for Richie – who gave birth to daughter Harlow in January last year – insists this simply isn’t the case.
The spokesperson tells Us Weekly magazine the report’s “not true.”
