Ellen DeGeneres is attempting to play matchmaker to unlucky-in-love actress Anne Hathaway – by offering to find her a boyfriend.
The chat show host – who married girlfriend Portia de Rossi in 2007 – says she’s keen to find Bride Wars star Hathaway her Mr. Right.
“If you need someone, I will find you a boyfriend,” she said on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in an interview airing Thursday. “I’m really good at it.”
“Did you see how nervous I just got?” Hathaway, 25, responded.
“You don’t even have to date,” said DeGeneres. “You can go straight to commitment.”
Anne – whose ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri pleaded guilty in September to more than a dozen counts of money laundering and fraud – isn’t overly fussy in what’s she’s looking for in a men.
She told Ellen, “At this point I would just like him to be law abiding. 2008 was the year I learned to have a sense of humor about everything.
“I feel like, also in 2008, the whole experience made me so much closer to my family. I feel like I’m a better friend, because I had to receive so much love in 2008, so I really understand what it is now to give it. It was really a transformative experience in a lot of good ways.”
