Madonna has been forced to up her and her family’s security – after her links to the Jewish community made her a target of Muslim fanatics, seeking revenge for Israel’s attacks on Gaza, according to a new report.
The star, 50 – who is devout member of the Jewish sect Kabbalah – is said to be up in arms after threats were made against her life – so has “got two ruthless Israeli former secret service agents to beef up her security; and warned ex-husband Guy Ritchie his home in busy central London is vulnerable to attack when he has the kids – Lourdes, 12, Rocco, eight, and adopted David Banda, three,” according to a report today in British newspaper The People.
A source tells the publication, “Madonna is well known for her Kabbalah faith and support for Israel, having visited the country several times.
“This seems to upset extreme Muslims who forget she respects people of all faiths whether Islamic, Christian or Buddhist. Like anyone else she would like a peaceful end to the problems in Gaza.
“But she is beside herself with worry, not just for her own safety but for that of the children.”
Madonna has now hired two Israeli minders who were in Mossad, Israel’s ruthless secret service. The pair were beside the singer during her last world tour and drove her in a black Audi on her most recent visit to London.
The source added, “It’s a terrible situation. Madonna wouldn’t normally dream of stopping her children from seeing their father.
“But with her fears over security she has made it clear she dos not believe his current home is suitable. Guy accepts the safety of the kids is top priority.”
