Ashley Jensen has shot down reports she is set to quit her role on Ugly Betty.

It was claimed earlier this week that the Scottish actress – who is also known for starring in Ricky Gervais’ comedy series Extras – was asking to be released from her contract after telling bosses she “wanted to try something new”.

But a rep for Ugly Betty insists that the report is “not true”.

Ashley, 39, plays wardrobe girl Christina McKinney in the ABC comedy-drama series.

Betty, currently in its third season, has recently been criticized for its far-fetched story lines.
