Boy George Sent Money in Prison

Boy George’s fans are showing their support for the jailed rocker while he languishes in jail – by sending him money.
The former Culture Club star – who is serving 15 months for the false imprisonment of a male prostitute he shackled to his bedroom wall – has reportedly received more than 400 letters and cards since he was jailed.
Several have contained pound coins, £20 and £10 notes – and one included a £25 postal order. George, 47, faces a £5,000 legal bill and is unlikely to be able to allowed to enter the United States again, where he is still a huge star, according to Britain’s Sunday Mirror newspaper.
“It’s unbelievable why so many people would want to spend their money on him,” a source told the paper. “But he has been genuinely touched by people’s concern for him.”
George – who was recently moved from London’s Pentonville jail to the softer Edmunds Hill prison in Suffolk - has had the cash placed in a prison bank account and is allowed £15 a week to spend on food and luxuries.
