Chace Crawford admits his mates “rib” him over his status as a sex symbol.

The 23-year-old actor – who plays Nate Archibald in The CW TV series Gossip Girl – says his friends find it hilarious that he his labeled a hunk.

“My friends give me a hard time and rib me about it,” Chace explains. “But I’d do the same thing to them.”

Crawford also enjoys living in New York with pal and Gossip Girl costar Ed Westick – who plays Chuck Bass.

“Me and Ed share a flat and split the rent,” Chace explains. “We have a blast – we’re like brothers. My mom taught me to scrub the bathroom floor when I was little, so I’m very clean.”

Chace also credits his mom for getting him into acting.

“My mom encouraged me to go modeling in high school,” he says. “Then my parents helped my financially and emotionally.”
