Meryl Streep is in favor of movie downloads – because they do away with the critics.
The Devil Wears Prada actress believes people downloading films straight to their desktop is a way of getting her work to viewers quicker and without the interference of critics.
She says, “My theory is that it’s all going to go away very soon.
“Pretty soon I think you are going to be able to access these things almost immediately. You are going to dial up what movie you are going to want to see, you are going to bypass the critics.
“They are going to have to figure out a different way to mark them because I actually think this is so archaic, this way of doing things.”
