Sarah Jessica Parker is “freaking out” over the thought a divorce will leave her penniless.

The Sex and the City star’s 11-year marriage to fellow thespian Matthew Broderick is said to be on the rocks following reports last year he cheated on her with another woman.

But Parker – who is reported to have earned a whopping $180 million during her career – is desperately trying to save the relationship in a bid to hold on to her vast fortune.

“Sarah’s family were poor when she was a child,” a source tells Britain’s Look magazine. “She had seven brothers and sisters and she’s often talked about missing out on birthday presents when she was young.

“It seems she’s freaking out over the thought that Matthew could walk away with an enormous sum of money.”
